PLANNING
Gaye and I are off to South America on 31 August 2023 for 3 months. We fly into Santiago, Chile before heading north to the Atacama Desert and the Uyuni Salt Flats for a short tour. Then its on to Potosi, Sucre and LaPaz in Bolivia from where we fly down in the Amazon for a 5 day Amazon tour. Then back to la Paz and off to Lake Titicaca, Arequipa in Peru and then Cusco by 1 October. We test out bodies on the climb to Machu Picchu then on to Quito in Equador for a few days before flying out to the Galapogas Island for 10 days. Should be fantastic. From Galapogas Island its south to Lima in Peru and then way down south to Puerto Montt in Southern Chile where with pick up a rental car for a month and drive south down through Patagonia along the western side of the Andes and back up the eastern side through Argentina. Then back to Santiago and home on 30 November.
